On September 11 2011 Obama successfully commanded Operation Neptune Spear in Pakistan which sought to kill Osama Bin Laden. In 2012 Obama stood for re-election Centering the campaign around social issues, notably health care and social security.

In November 2012, Obama defeated his main opponent Mitt Romney. In his second term Obama initiated negotiations with Iran which eventually led to a Nuclear deal with the middle Eastern country.
